Yes, SingToSpeak is completely free. All bilingual lyrics, karaoke mode, and multi-language browsing are available at no cost.

How do I get started?

Go to the Songs page and pick any song in the language you want to learn. Open it, choose your view mode (original on top, translation on top, or side by side), press play, and read along. That's it.

Learning With Music

Can I really learn a language with music?

Yes. Music is one of the most effective tools for language acquisition. Songs deliver vocabulary in an emotional, repetitive context that helps your brain retain new words far better than flashcards or grammar drills. The chorus of a typical pop song repeats its key phrases 8–12 times per listen, providing natural spaced repetition.

How long does it take to see results?

Most learners notice they can pick out words and phrases in a new song within a few weeks of regular listening with lyrics. Vocabulary from songs they've heard many times starts appearing in the language in recognizable forms. Full fluency requires more than music alone, but music dramatically accelerates the vocabulary and pronunciation phases of learning.

What level of the language do I need to start?

Zero. Because the translation is always visible, you never need to look anything up. Start with any song that sounds good to you and let the meaning sink in naturally.

Should I sing along?

Yes, if you can. Actively producing the sounds — even quietly — accelerates pronunciation acquisition significantly more than passive listening. Karaoke mode highlights the active lyric line so you always know where you are in the song.

What is the best genre for language learning?

For Spanish, Bachata is generally the best starting point — moderate tempo, clear diction, and conversational vocabulary. For Korean, K-pop ballads tend to have clearer pronunciation than faster tracks. For French, Chanson Française offers rich, distinct vocabulary. That said, the best genre is the one you actually enjoy — consistency matters more than genre selection.

Languages & Content

Which languages does SingToSpeak support?

Currently: Spanish, French, Korean, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, English, Mandarin, Arabic, Hindi, and Russian. We're adding more songs in all languages regularly.

How many songs are available?

The library is growing. New songs are added regularly across all supported languages. You can browse the full library on the Songs page or by genre.

Can I add a song that is not in the library?

Yes. The Add Song page lets you submit a YouTube URL and we'll process the lyrics and translation. Songs go through a review process before being published.

Are the translations accurate?

Translations aim to be accurate and natural rather than word-for-word literal. Song lyrics sometimes use idioms, slang, or poetic phrasing that doesn't translate directly — in those cases we provide the closest natural English equivalent with context.

Features

What is karaoke mode?
